Research field and résumé

Every type of research requires language and metaphysical assumptions, while the Philosophy of Nature examines the relationships between human consciousness and the world outside of it.  All of these appear in Monika Gatt’s research, which focuses on Ethics, on Phenomenology, the Philosophy of Nature and the philosophical basis of Acoustics.

Monika Gatt (born in 1967) studied Logics and Philosophy of Science at Ludwig-Maximilian-University in Munich, and then Philosophy at the Jesuit School of Philosophy in Munich, which awarded her a doctoral degree in 2009. Since 2010, she taught Philosophy at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich. She also taught Philosophy from 2011 to 2014 at Helmut-Schmidt-University in Hamburg.  In 2011 she became a Research Fellow at the Institute of Technical Dynamics at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich, and then in 2015 began to teach at its Institute of Vibroacoustics.
