Gerhard Zeidler Endowed Professorship for Vibroacoustics of Vehicles and Machines
The group of the Chair of Vibroacoustics of Vehices and Machines conducts widespread research on Technical Acoustics and on Vibroacoustics. The aim in this is to enhance the physical understanding of the emergence and distribution of airborne and structure-borne sound in order to deduce methods of manipulation and reduction. Ever since its establishment in 2015 under the direction of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Steffen Marburg teaching and research involve physical principles of Vibroacoustics, numerical simulations and experimental investigations. The chair is endowed by the Zeidler-Forschungs-Stiftung.
This year, the Chair of Vibroacoustics of Vehicles and Machines is present with its own stand at the exhibition of companies at the 45th annual conference of the German Acoustical Society (DAGA 2019) from March 19 until March 21, 2019 in Rostock. Students of the Chair are...
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Steffen Marburg talks about the subject sound in the German podcast "Welt der Physik" with the topics streching from sound generation to the difficulties in creating an object that has a desired sound...
